Who are we?

Community Enterprise Derby is a Community Interest Company (CIC), and part of Community Action Derby - the leading infrastructure organisation in the city.

We exist to support Community Action continue its charitable work by creating surpluses from the contracts and services we deliver.

We have a strong track record in delivering contracts that work with long-term unemployed people, normally claiming benefits such as Jobseekers Allowance, with the aim of supporting them back into sustainable work.

We are currently delivering the Government's Work Programme scheme, through sub-contracts with A4E Ltd.

We also deliver support to social enterprises at any stage of development and operation, and host the city's Social Enterprise Network.

We are also delivering the first co-ordinated brokerage service for Employer Supported Volunteering in the city - bringing together private business with local charities to mutual benefit.
